Dear Beloved,
There are always things to be done and there are always expectations to meet. Do you have expectations of and for yourself? What are they? Have you written them down? Have you remembered them? Have you prayed and asked the great I AM to build them up within you?
How can we go day to day trying to meet the expectations of others when we sometimes don’t even know what we expect or how we expect or expectations to transpire.
I remember thinking one day that my opinion of my self was not what the world saw me as. I became sullen because I was not sure how to live up to what the world would have me to be. I beat myself up, kicked myself and downed myself every chance I got. I did these things because I had lost favor in myself trying to be what and who the world saw me as.
I was watching a television reality show one day when one of the women said that she had lost herself trying to fit in with the rest of the click. At that moment I realized what I had done. I had forgotten who I AM and where I come from. I AM a child of God born from the rib of man. I should not worry about how the world sees me. Surely if I remain on the path to I AM I will not falter.
Your greatness is not measured by what other people see or think or even what they are willing to give to have a piece of you. Your greatness is measured by the lives that you positively touch with whatever divine gift you have been given.
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3
Today remember your worth. Remember that you have expectations of yourself that are not co-dependent on the expectations of others. You do not need people to do with you in order for YOU to do for YOU. Be Blessed.
Amen
